Sheltie Rescue
Shelties very rarely need to be rescued as they are such an easy breed to live with. Sometimes, however, due to extenuating circumstances a sheltie will need to be rehomed. The club will assist with rescues and suggests the following action:
If you have or know of a sheltie that needs re-homing your first point of contact should be the sheltie’s breeder. Most breeders will rescue and rehome a sheltie they have bred. Most will want to know what is happening to their puppies. Contacts for most registered breeders can be found on Dogzonline or through DogsSA. (Links on the contacts page)
If the breeder is unknown, or unable to help, contact a member of the SSCSA committee to help. They will be able to assist you.
